In July 2008, I logged onto the r3w forum and there was a post by Pete Gnosill saying have a look at this Regal Mk VI on ebay. As soon as I saw the van I was hooked and over the next few days made several bids for it and won it. One week later on 5th August 2008 the car arrived on my door step, I was overjoyed.
It is a 1961 Reliant Regal Mk VI van with a 747cc side-valve engine and believed to be one of just a handful of vans that still exist (though only the location of two others are known; one in a museum and the other in Sweden) and possibly the only one that is still on the road. So I guess it is a pretty rare model and I imagine the chances of me seeing another one on the road are pretty slim. There are currently 26 Mk VI vehicles (23 saloons. 2 vans and 1 estate) known to exist.
The van was owned by me until July 2013 when she was then sold on e-bay to James Tennant where it is now used as a promotional vehicle at Movecorp.
