Welcome to 3-wheelers.com, the online A-Z of 3-wheeled cars with over 2,100 pages

Love them or loathe them the 3-wheeler, Cycle-car or even Tri-car, has had an important impact in the development of the present day motor car.  From the beginnings of the Industrial Revolution  to the Concept cars of the future, these vehicles can hold their headlamps up with pride. They were present at the birth of motoring and possibly may well be the the answer to the future with the constant depletion of the Earth’s energy resources.

The aim of this web site is to build an online catalogue of all 3 wheeled vehicles manufactured from the invention of Cugnot’s first steam powered 3-wheeler in 1769 to present day. If you have a 3-wheeled vehicle that is not listed in any of these pages please let me know and I will add it. I hope that you enjoy your visit.

20 Years and Final update

After 20 years and 3.2 million hits, this version of 3-wheelers.com is now being archived and no further updates will be made to it.

With over 2,100 pages the site is just way too big to recreate into a new mobile version for the 2020s.  Web technology and web browsers have changed over the years with search engines like Google now favoring mobile friendly websites. As a result hits to this site have been dropping from the 32,000 hits a day the site used to enjoy as it is now appearing in less search results

One option was to delete the site and start afresh although as the site contains so much data,, many people asked that the site remained online and so it now exist at http://www.3wheelers.com/archives/

A new smaller mobile friendly 3-wheelers.com replaces this website at www.3-wheelers.com.  This will just be a broken down version that is mainly centered around the A-Z section.

Thank you to everyone who has visited this website over the last 20 years, even after all this time it still remains the largest website on 3-wheelers in the world.
